HARUKA NAKAMURA
Haruka Nakamura (b.1982) is a composer in Tokyo, Japan. As a child, Haruka learned to play piano and guitar on his own. His sound is made of sunset and season’s perfume.
Haruka first emerged in the Japanese electronic scene with the release of “Afterglow” (Schole, 2007), a split album with Akira Kosemura. It was then followed by two solo albums “grace” (Schole, 2008) and “twilight” (Kitchen. Label 2010). All 3 albums are ranked as one of the most successful albums in recent times by a new independent artist in Japan. He was awarded “Singles of the Week” by iTunes Japan for the track “twilight”.

ISSEY MIYAKE independent brand “mame”. He has collaborated with Mujika Easel (formely of Eisi), aspidistrafly, ironomi, ARAKI Shin and moskitoo (12K). Outside of his solo works, he runs his own 5 piece band project called kadan. They released an album “CASA” in 2009 and held a solo launch concert at SuperDeluxe (Tokyo).
Before the sudden death of famed Japanese producer/DJ Nujabes, the latter had been producing an album with Haruka. Haruka is currently working on completing this album to be released under hydeout productions. Haruka is also one of the founders of the Nujabes tribute project “spiritual state ensemble” with saxophonist Uyama Hiroto and rapper Shing02. The unit has perfomed at the Metamorphose Festival to an audience of over 7,000 audience in early 2010.
