Meitei announces Sen’nyū Release Events in Beppu & Yufuin

Celebrating the forthcoming release of Sen’nyū, the new album by Meitei, KITCHEN. LABEL is pleased to support two special listening events this August in the onsen towns of Beppu and Yufuin, Japan. These gatherings mark the early unveiling of Meitei’s new work Sen’nyū, ahead of its official release on August 8.

Rooted in the spirit of lost Japanese landscapes, Sen’nyū resonates deeply with place. The thermal atmosphere of Beppu and Yufuin becomes the ideal setting to present this album for the first time.

Day 1: Talk Session in Beppu
Date: August 1, 2025 (Friday)
Venue: tsuchiumu, Beppu
Time: 19:00 to 20:30
Entry: ¥2,000 (includes one drink)
A ¥1,000 refund is available for guests attending the performance on Day 2
Capacity: 50 guests

Day 2: Listening Performance in Yufuin
Date: August 2, 2025 (Saturday)
Venue: Tsuchiumu, Yufuin
Doors open at 19:00
Performance from 20:00 to 21:00
Entry: ¥6,000 (includes one drink and onsen access)
Capacity: 50 guests

A one-night-only performance held in the grand tatami hall of a former Japanese inn.
Speakers will also be placed in the open-air baths of both the men’s and women’s hot springs, inviting guests to listen while bathing. This is a rare, immersive listening experience limited to 50 people.

A special pre-release sale of Sen’nyū will be held at both venues. LP, CD, and the hardcover photo book will be available as part of a trilogy that documents the world behind the album.
