Meitei announces Sen’nyū Special Event in Taipei

Following its premieres in Beppu, Kyoto, and Tokyo, Meitei brings Sen’nyū, his onsen-inspired new album and photo book, to Taiwan for a series of intimate events combining music, tea, and cuisine at Koya Sanju in Taipei’s Minsheng Community.

Recorded during a two-week residency in Beppu for the city’s 100th anniversary, Sen.nyū captures the sounds of hot springs, steaming mud, rustling bamboo, and whispered conversations, weaving them into a deeply atmospheric portrait of onsen culture.

Meitei’s first talk event in Taiwan, featuring a full vinyl playback of Sen’nyū, behind-the-scenes stories, field recordings, photo book images, Q&A, and signing.
Special guest: Astēa, presenting a concept drink inspired by Sen/nyū.

Tea artists Huang Yang-Chih & Su Chih-Hsuan interpret the sensory essence of onsen through tea.

Dinner “Sen’nyū” – Aug 31 (Lunch & Evening)
Chefs Takushi Yoshida (Kyoto) & Chien Hsien-Yun (Taiwan) create a menu inspired by steam, spring water, and seasonal produce.
