Born in Kumamoto, Japan, Janis Crunch is a singer, composer and pianist. A classically trained pianist, she graduated at a Tokyo music university.
She first gained attention as an artist with her frequent collaborations with haruka nakamura, where she composed and provided vocals on tracks on the albums “grace” and “twilight”.
In 2013, she released her collaboration album with haruka nakamura entitled “12 & 1 SONG” (KITCHEN. LABEL) as well as her solo piano album “I just love the piano” (RONDADE). Janis Crunch has also worked on commissioned music for FUJI TV, PARCO, SHISEIDO, Theatre Products and Nintendo.
Featuring never-before-seen footage from the Esplanade archives, Music with Scenery was ASPIDISTRAFLY and haruka nakamura PIANO ENSEMBLE’s first joint showcase in Singapore. ⟶
Following its initial release in August 2017, haruka nakamura PIANO ENSEMBLE have announced the reissue of their final album “Hikari” in a newly packaged CD box edition. ⟶
